My name is Alva and I have a passion for beads.

 

I was an actress many years ago.  And since creativity can’t be stuffed into one discipline only, this is what has evolved.  I’ve always enjoyed daydreaming and making things pretty.  Quite by accident I stumbled into making jewelry.  Having a little girl who loved to dress up in old jewelry, I collected it from family and friends.  Much of it was broken so I bought a pair of jeweler’s pliers and took a class in order to fix broken jewelry for my baby girl.  That was it.  I was hooked.

 

I began to explore the world of precious and semi-precious gemstones, pearls and precious metals and became thoroughly fascinated with all the possibilities  for design.  My work is constantly evolving as my interests expand.  This is a labor of love for me.  Please enjoy.
